About ADOE

ADOE (Alliance for the Disabled, Orphaned and Elderly) is a nonprofit organisation created and operated by a network of Tigrayan humanitarians since 2018 to service local communities in need. ADOE is committed to supporting society’s most vulnerable groups: orphans, the elderly, and individuals with disabilities.

ADOE’s Objectives

ADOE provides support to vulnerable groups through:

Financial Support

Provide consistent financial assistance for basic needs like food, shelter, and healthcare.

Emotional Support & Community Integration

Establish counseling programs and community initiatives to promote emotional well-being, combat isolation, and foster inclusivity. We aim to reduce stigma and create integrated, supportive communities for vulnerable populations.

Advocacy

Advocate for the rights and inclusion of vulnerable individuals through public awareness and policy engagement.

Sustainability

Build partnerships and develop fundraising strategies to ensure long-term support for our communities.

Empowerment

Offer educational and skill-building programs to help individuals achieve self-reliance and a better quality of life.

How You Can Help

DONATE TO ADOE

You can contribute to ADOE in the following ways:

  • One off contribution:

    • For example:

      • $10 can provide a year‘s worth of stationary for a child

      • $20 can help to cover a month’s worth of food for a child

      • $30 can help to cover a month’s rent for a disabled or elderly person who is struggling

  • Recurring contributions:

    • Any amount contributed will provide vital support to cover living expenses for those in need, however ADOE aims to prioritize using funds to help beneficiaries to increase their independence, which requires more substantial or recurring contributions.

    • A monthly contribution of $50 or more over a year can help someone to establish a business and find a way to make an independent living.

  • Sponsorship:

Giving FAQs

  • Your generous contribution directly supports ADOE’s mission and programs. Every donation will help to further ADOE’s work to provide support to vulnerable groups in Tigray.

  • Yes. As ATA is a registered charity with Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status, your donation is tax deductible. You will receive a receipt for your contribution which you can claim for tax purposes.

  • You can choose how you would like to give. ADOE offers both one-time donations and the option to set up recurring contributions. You can choose to donate on a monthly, quarterly, or yearly basis. Recurring donations are a great way to provide sustained support, and you can modify or cancel your commitment at any time.
